To Go or Not To Go
I am so torn on whether or not to go to Nashville this weekend and look at places to rent. I had planned on going and even have appts set up for Saturday to go look at places, but with this bad weather front moving in I'm torn on what to do. I really wanna go even if it snows cause the kids would love it. I just don't wanna go and not look at places because that defeats the whole purpose of going. I feel like I am running out of time and don't want to make a trip up to have to go back up in a couple of weeks. Between packing and everyday life its hard to find the time to do everything without feeling overwhelmed. Oh, what to do what to do. The only thing I know to do is wait till tomorrow and see. I just know I am going to have 2 very disappointed kids if I load up the car and we end up not going.

New Thing - Week 3
This week I thought I would try out a new breakfast muffin recipe. My kids are not huge breakfast fans and thought this will be great cause you can grab and go. I made Paula Deen's Peanut Butter Oatmeal Muffins, they are really good. The best part is the kids LOVE them and all I have to do is grab a few and go. Super Yummy.

Wearing Princess Shoes doesn't mean you are a Princess

Lil Man: Why you wearing princess shoes?
Me: Because, Do you think I'm a princess?
LM: No, just your shoes.
Me: So mommy isn't a princess???
LM: No. (Proceeds to walk over to the buffet to point to a picture of me from my wedding)
Me: Is mommy a princess in that picture?
LM: Yes
Guess your only a princess if you have the whole look, dress, hair done, make-up, not just shoes. The funny thing is I wore boots when I got married, not fancy "princess" shoes.

52 New Things
Since I am not big on resolutions I thought this might be fun to try. Thanks I'm a Mom, whose site(http://www.theincoherentramblings.com/) I got this from. I'm hoping that having others doing this as well that I will remember to also. Keep me accountable. I hope others will also try this, it will be neat to see how many different things everyone will do.
BirminghamMommy.com is teaming up with Birmingham Bargain Mom to blog about what we are doing new in this new year..
With the movie Julie and Julia as our inspiration,
we thought it would be fun to make ourselves try something new each week for the entire year.
It doesn't always have to be something big. It can be a book, a recipe, lipstick or hair color. The options for trying new things are truly endless.
Each Tuesday we will take to our blogs/Facebook/Twitter and tell what we have done that week, what we liked or didn't like about it and if we would do it again or recommend it to others.
Do you blog, twitter or facebook? Join in. We would love to have you participate and see what everyone is doing. Grab that cool picture up there, add it to your blog and find something new to do this week.
If you are on twitter – be sure to link your post there and use: #52newthings
You can find Birmingham Bargain Mom on Twitter @BhamBargainMom and you can find us there @BirminghamMommy
Also – if you keep up with things on Facebook – you can find Birmingham Bargain Mom and BirminghamMommy there too!
What a Decade!!!!
I thought I would start this decade by looking back at all the things I did in the past decade, and boy was it alot.
I guess the best place to start would be at the beginning of the decade.... All the way back in 2000.
In the year 2000 I graduated high school, as well as went to Europe.
In 2004 I married the love of my life. We were also blessed with our 1st nephew as well as a new cousin.
In 2006, we welcomed our 1st child into in the world, a son. I can't believe my lil man is almost 4. Right before the joyous occasion of our son being born, my mom's dad passed away. He was a wonderful grandfather and is missed greatly. Love you Papaw K. In the fall my family moved from Phoenix, AZ to Nashville, TN, leaving family behind but joining family ahead. We were also blessed with 2 more additions to our family, another nephew and cousin.
In 2008, we were transferred from TN to AL, starting a new adventure in our lives with no family around. You never realize how much you miss famiy until they are not there.
In 2009, we added one more addition to our family, another cousin. If you happen to be counting that's 7 babies over the course of 5 years.
In a nut shell that was the past decade. I look forward to all the exciting adventures and things ahead of us in this new year and decade.
In 2007, we added another addition to our family, a girl. Making our family complete in our eyes. Shortly after our daughter was born my dad's dad passed away, he had been batteling Alzheimers for quite some time. He was also a wonderful grandfather and great grandfather and is missed. Love you Papaw B.
